I read a lot about affiliate marketing and building websites and I get a lot of good advice from many people. I implement what makes sense to me.
The community at Wealthy Affiliate is a great resource. I learn something new every time I visit. When I have questions that is the very first place I turn to for answers.
I also read a lot of blogs by marketing experts as well as content from social media.
But, there are three gentleman who I pay particular attention to. I search out what they have to say and consume all the content I can from them. I watch their videos and webinars and read their article with care.
Here they are in no special order.
Neil Patel
Neil Patel is probably the best known of the three people I follow closely. His webinars and blog are followed by hundreds of thousands. He is the co-founder of Crazy Egg, Hello Bar and KISSmetrics.
President Obama recognized him as one of the top 100 entrepreneurs under the age of 30. The Wall Street Journal named him a top influencer on the web. Neil received Congressional Recognition from the United States House of Representatives.
I read his blog regularly for ideas that will improve my website and email marketing strategies. I am also on his mailing list to get his frequent tips.
Follow Neil's advice. He wont steer you wrong or ever scam you.
Shane Melaugh
Shane Melaugh is the owner of IM Impact. The biggest project to come out of that company is Thrive Themes and Shane is well known to Thrive users. Outside of that group though, probably few know of his work.
Regardless of whether or not you use Thrive tools, you should read the Thrive blog, watch Shane's webinars and read his Active Growth blog. The insights you will gain will make your website, your landing pages and your opt-in forms better right away.
Every time I watch one of Shane's presentations, I have my website editor open so I can implement his suggestions right away. There is always something that will stand out as a "must do."
Jay Neil
All of you Wealthy Affiliate members know Jay from his Friday night live training sessions. If you watch those you will get an idea of just how knowledgeable Jay is when it comes to affiliate marketing. His four week series called "WA Live Niche Case Study" is a brilliant introduction to affiliate marketing through niche websites.
Jay is also a force in the WA online community where is advice and help is always insightful.
Outside of Wealthy Affiliate, Jay has his own website called "Affiliate Resources." There you will find a wealth of how-to advice, articles and product reviews to help with SEO and niche marketing.
There are certainly other experts we can all learn from but these three are my 'go to" resources. Look at what they are doing. You can learn from them too.
Do you have experts you rely on? Are you an expert that shares with other affiliate marketers?
Your comments and questions are always welcome.
